Speaking during the event, the CBO Chairperson Mr. Mulongo encouraged members to remain steadfast and actively participate in their respective groups, noting that cooperation and commitment are the foundation of the organization's success. Mr. Mulongo said that unity among members will enable the CBO to grow faster and achieve its long-term development goals, while also creating more opportunities for members through community-driven projects. On her part, Agnes Ofwecha, a chairperson within the organization, emphasized the importance of proper record-keeping. She urged members to maintain accurate records of their contributions and savings, saying transparency and accountability are key to the growth and sustainability of the CBO. Slow But Sure CBO was established in 2024 and has since experienced remarkable growth, attracting hundreds of members from the community. The organization has already embarked on several income-generating and development projects aimed at improving livelihoods. Among its flagship initiatives is the establishment of fish ponds, with members also planning to expand into other community empowerment projects that will enhance food security, create employment opportunities, and improve household incomes. The annual celebration brought together members from different groups to reflect on the achievements made over the past year and renew their commitment to strengthening the organization in the coming year.
