Dan Wema has opened up about the painful experiences his father went through, revealing how mental illness, loss and hardship shaped his family’s life. In an emotional narration, Wema said his father struggled with mental illness and was often mocked and laughed at by people who did not understand what he was going through. “When I tell you there is power in prayer, I know exactly what I am talking about.” Wema also recalled the heartbreaking loss of his mother, who died while giving birth to his sibling, leaving behind a one-day-old baby. He said the loss marked the beginning of an extremely difficult chapter for his family, forcing them to experience suffering, struggle and uncertainty at a very young age. According to Wema, his personal experiences are part of the reason he dedicates himself to helping people in need. He explained that when people see him travelling from one place to another to support others, it is not simply an act of generosity, but something deeply connected to his own life experiences. He said he understands what it means to struggle, to need help and to have nobody to turn to. Wema further addressed those who criticize or discourage his work, saying such opposition will not stop him from continuing with his mission. He maintained that he will keep moving forward, serving others and being a blessing to those in need. He expressed faith that God will continue raising people who will support the ministry and help transform the lives of those they reach. For Wema, his journey is therefore not just about helping others—it is also a testimony of faith, resilience and the belief that difficult beginnings do not have to determine the future.
